Opening Sequences and Enigma - Introduction

One final convention of opening sequences, particularly with certain genres, that I’ve also noticed is the creation of enigma/mystery. I’m going to have a closer look at two films from different genres to see how films create mystery in their opening sequences.

The films I’m going to be looking at are:

'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol' (action genre)

'Knives Out' (detective/mystery genre)
