My Chosen Certificate for 'When Duty Calls' - 12A

After researching different age rating classifications that action films receive, and taking into consideration the pros and cons for three different age ratings, I have decided to give 'When Duty Calls' a 12A rating. 

The reason I have decided to give my film a 12A certificate is because it allows me to create exciting action scenes which captivate a  much wider audience. Many action films have received this certificate and have not had to compromise on the high intensity of scenes throughout the films. 

This rating allows my film to involve thrilling and epic moments which will engage the audience, whilst still appealing to a wide range of people. 

A 15 rating wouldn’t suit my film as much as a 12A rating because it would limit the audience by excluding younger viewers who enjoy watching action films, which in turn would limit potential revenue.
