Ideas for My Title Card Order in the Opening Sequence of 'When Duty Calls'

After researching title sequences in action films, I have noticed a slight consistency to the order that the credits appear in. The production companies name usually appears first, followed by the lead actors, as action films usually have big star names due to their high budget. The film's title usually appears next, presented in a bold sans serif font to match the tone of the film.

After this, key supporting actors are listed here and if not, then the key crew members are shown next. Finally, the director of the film is usually revealed last, highlighting their lead creative role and leaving a lasting impression on the audience. The films I have looked at either present titles over images of the film or on black title cards.

Therefore, the order of title cards for my opening sequence will follow the same sort of pattern which is:

  • Paramount Pictures presents
  • a Skydance Media production in association with
  • Millennium Media
  • Starring Ethan Hart
  • and Richard Thorne or Sophie Parker or Lucas Hawke or Jessica Evans
  • 'When Duty Calls'
  • Director of photography - Bill Pope
  • Screenplay by Christopher Mcquarrie
  • A film by David Leitch
