Script for the News Story/Dialogue in My Opening Sequence

Instead of using dialogue to introduce my protagonist and give the audience insight into what they are like, I will focus on highlighting the protagonist's skills and personality through visual actions, such as a montage of his morning tasks. 

As a result,  my opening sequence will include minimal dialogue, allowing the audience to focus more on the protagonist's behaviour and traits. This helps them feel more connected to the protagonist at an early stage as well as building expectations and allowing them to understand what the protagonist may do later on in the film's narrative. 

Most of the dialogue below comes from Alexa, as it is the live radio delivering breaking news:

Radio Presenter: That was AC/DC with 'Highway To Hell'. More music coming up, but first, a breaking news story.

Protagonist: Alexa, volume up.

Radio Presenter: It’s just been reported that the Head of MI5, Sir Richard Cunningham, has been assassinated. The chief in charge of Britain’s biggest spy secrets was gunned down as he left his house in London this morning. We’ll have more details for you later, but first here’s more music.

More music plays, before protagonist's phone starts to ring and he picks it up.

Protagonist: 25301 speaking.

Agent (O.S.): I’m sure you’ve heard the news. It’s been a while, but we need you back.

Protagonist: Yes Sir, I’m ready.
