Shooting Schedule and Final Shot List for 'When Duty Calls'

Now I have completed my opening sequence outline and my shot list I am ready to start planning filming. I need to complete a storyboard but I am aiming to shoot my opening sequence over two days as I only have one main actor/a single protagonist in my opening sequence, though there four mini-scenes in the sequence and quite a number of shots in different rooms in the house, as well as costume changes. 

Below is my shooting schedule for filming the opening scene of ‘When Duty Calls’. 

Day 1 - February 18th

• Medium close up of protagonist asleep 
• Close up of alarm clock - as it’s going off
• Medium close up of protagonist waking up to alarm
• Close up of alarm clock as protagonist slaps it off
• Medium close up of protagonist as he goes back to snoozing 
• Medium shot facing bed as protagonist sits up to get out of bed
• Ground level shot of feet hitting the floor
• Medium close up of protagonist's legs walking 
• Medium shot of protagonist stretching hands above head
• Close up on protagonist holding his lower back
• Long shot of protagonist in toilet

• Close up on protagonist's head coming into frame as he does press-ups
• Long shot of protagonist doing press-ups - side on
• Close up on feet running on treadmill - ground level
• Close up on protagonist's face as he runs
• Medium close up of protagonist doing shoulder press - slight low angle


Day 2 - February 19th

• Close up on burnt toast popping out toaster

• Extreme close up of protagonist's face as he’s annoyed - same angle, camera flipped
• Close up on espresso shot spilling over the top
• Close up on protagonist, frustrated again
• POV shot of protagonist opening draw and grabbing a knife
• Close up on protagonist spreading jam on toast
• Medium shot of protagonist sitting at table reading newspaper (see tops of eyes)

• Medium close up on Alexa “Breaking news from London”
• Medium shot of protagonist picking up toast to eat and focusing on radio as he says “Alexa, volume up”
• Close up on Alexa
• Close up on protagonist's face as he’s shocked
• Close up on phone as it buzzes “HEADQUARTERS - EMERGENCY ONLY”
• Close up on protagonist swiftly moving head towards phone - low angle
