Updated Storyline for 'When Duty Calls'

Having done more planning for my opening sequence, I have slightly adapted the storyline for my film so it is more fitting for the genre I want to work in, and is more engaging and interesting for the audience. 

My narrative follows a married couple who think they both live a straightforward, conventional, easy life together. However both partners don't know anything about the others past. 

The husband is an ex-Secret Service agent who is retired and is living a relaxing and relatively ordinary life, and his wife was once an assassin, who walked away from the life after being ordered to commit a particularly deadly murder. 

One morning as the husband wakes up and follows his normal routine (exercise and domestic household tasks) he gets a phone call (while listening to the news about a murder which is the one he finds out is his case) demanding him to report to headquarters immediately to get briefed before embarking on a critical mission. 

The rest of the story follows the protagonist, who is now out of shape (as he has been retired for a while) uncover the murder of the ex-head of the Secret Service. 

Eventually he finds out that his wife has been implicated in the crime, and has the ultimatum whether to kill her or not. 

The film will include many chase scenes and intense moments as the agent sacrifices his ordinary life to help keep the country safe from the crazy assassin, who was able to kill such a protected figure and get away without being noticed, whilst there being moments throughout which lighten the mood and emphasise the hybrid of genres including action and comedy.
