Prop List for 'When Duty Calls'
There are many props used throughout the opening sequence of 'When Duty Calls, which help reinforce the domesticated realism of the scene.
These include, for example:
Alarm clock - protagonist gets woken up by it and he hits it to turn it off.
Gym equipment - such as weights, bench and treadmill, to make the protagonist's home gym seem realistic and to suggest that even though he is out of shape for a mission, he still maintains a certain fitness level (that would be appropriate for an average civilian).
Coffee machine and toaster - domestic props reflecting his homely life, which allow the protagonist to make his breakfast, and ruin it, as he burns the toast and overspills the coffee.
Newspaper - which the protagonist reads as he eats breakfast, again reinforcing his normal, domesticated existence.
Alexa - one of the key props used in the whole opening sequence as it enables the protagonist to hear the breaking news of the death of current head of the Secret Service.
An iPhone - necessary for the ending of the opening sequence, as the protagonist gets a call back into duty to complete a mission by Secret Service headquarters.
